I love this! I love the dress, hair, and especially the background. And as the title is from a Midsummer Night's Dream... I was born on the night of Midsummer solstice, so... Yeah, It's really beautiful 2. EmmaThank you, Emma. And what a nice coincidence about your birthday. 2

"Ill met by moonlight, proud Titania..."

Hah, and I was born on Midsummer's Day....(By the way, that's the 24th of June, for those who don't know.)Solstitial celebrations still center upon June 24, which is no longer the longest day of the year. The difference between the Julian calendar year (365.2500 days) and the tropical year (365.2422 days) moved the day associated with the actual astronomical solstice forward approximately three days every four centuries until Pope Gregory XIII changed the calendar bringing the solstice to around June 21.

So you could say you were born on Midsummer's day if you were born anywhere between 21st-24th June.

*ahem* Anyway - I LOVE this! Very dark, mystical and beautiful.Thank you. I'm delighted that you like her. 2

She looks wonderful. I love how you pay attention to even the smallest detail and make it perfect. it really does look like a scene from the mid-summer night's dream. She looks so gentle and fragile but than when you look at her eyes there's nothing of that sort in them.Thank you. 2

| this looks fabulous!!! a truly moon-time picture... she has a very nostalgic gaze in her face, makes the mood even better, and with that moon and the beautiful colours... great stuff, really, very very beautiful2!!!

:-) Norma Peters replies: "I wanted to make a picture where the main colours were shades of blue and grey and this was the result. 2"

Goodness! What a coinceidence! In my English class we are doing the play ’A Midsummer’s Night Dream’ and I am playing Oberon, the king of the faeries.

Oberon
"Ill met by moonlight, proud Titania."
Titania
"What, jealous Oberon?"
Oberon
"Why should Titania cross her Oberon? Ido but beg a little changling boy to be my hanchman."
Titania
"For his mother’s sake, I will not part with him."
Oberon
"How long within the wood intend you stay?"
Titania
"Perchance till after Theseus’s wedding day."
Oberon
"Give me the boy, and I’ll go with thee."
Titania
"Not foy thy faerie kingdom!"

:-) Norma Peters replies: "It’s a lovely play. You’re fortunate to have a chance to take part."
