SciFi and Fantasy Art: Morgan Le Fay

The witch, Morgan Le Fay was the half-sister of King Arthur and his sworn enemy, often plotting his downfall. Her Familiar was often depicted as a raven. In spite of her enmity for her half-brother, she was one of three women who transported the grievously wounded king in a black boat to the Isle of Avalon to be healed. Although usually portrayed as a wicked enchantress, she was also a healer.

I love this pic! I love morgan le fay... Even though she's evilish... She wasnt like that at the beginning of her life.

Perhaps you can draw a picture or mordred, the son of arthur and his half sister? He was also considered evil..Glad you like her. 2 I would definitely be interested in doing more pictures related to King Arthur, and Mordred would be an interesting possibility.

To heck with Arthur, Morgan Le Fay is so beautiful! I wish I knew more about her....I'm glad you like her. I'm sure that there are many internet sites devoted to Morgan, and they should be easy to find if you do a search.

...woooooooooooooow...!!! the crow!!! it looks soooooooo... amazing...!!!2!!! and her jewels, oh my... soooooooo beautiful2!!! and her dress...........2!!!!!!!!! must be my second favourite after that purple shiny dress;-)... too bad if you think about it and create such beautiful things sometimes while drawing it makes you wonder if that could even be possible... i mean, to wear it and still be able to move inside...;-) it always looks so pretty when just posing for a pic;-) hehe... don’t you sometimes get that feeling, too2? anyways, this is a GORGEOUS picture... really2!!! her eyes are also very nice2!!!

:-) Norma Peters replies: "Thank you. I honestly believe that no matter how difficult a costume looks, it can be made and worn if you know how to do it.. I used to make gowns. I would take a basic pattern and build on that, so that by the end, the costume would look entirely different. It was a lot of fun. 2"

:-) Norma Peters replies: "Hello, Arizona. I see that you’re on a school network, and I know specifically which one. Maybe I’ll give your school a call and let them know how "Amanda" is spending her time when she’s supposed to be doing something educational. 2"

Norma - I am really digging your artwork! You put a lot of attention into the detail, which naturally prompts reactions. I noticed the three-moon tat right away, which makes me think you are going for Nic Neamhain (Nic Neven - Celtic moon/warrior goddess) but I cannot escape the impression that Morgainne/Morgana’s features are Mediterranean or Roma - something about the complexion and the jaw - whereas I would expect more emphasis on a pale complexion (she’s not a day-time kinda gal, now is she?) and stronger cheekbones with less of an Egyptian-looking eye. Wondering if it is chance, design? On the other hand, I am captivated by her hair an the raven’s wings being so similar. (another Peters, probably not related)
