Your gallery is absolutely breathtaking. How many years of practice did it take to become so skilled? All your characters seem so alive and have so much personality! I’m completely stunned!

:-) Norma Peters replies: "Thank you so much for your wonderfully kind comment. 2 I’m a bit older than most Elfwood members, so I’ve had a lot of practice drawing and painting. I started drawing when I was a bit under two. My father saved all my early drawings and my first one is recognizably a female face with a mop of curly hair and large eyes, complete with eyelashes.

When I was twelve I started oil painting - mainly landscapes, animals and birds, but also some portraits. I didn’t do a lot of serious drawing or painting when my daughter was really young, although I did drawings for her - cartoons and funny figures. During that time I did a lot of needlework - embroideries, tapestries, that sort of thing.

People’s faces fascinate me, and I love to do portraits. I find, though, that I’m starting to get back to landscapes, and I’m seriously thinking of doing a series of bird and animal cartoons, based on the antics of the local wildlife where I live."

Wow, I’ve been looking at a lot of art lately (cause i’ve been bored with the stories) and yours is definitly some of the better pictures. I love almost every on of your works, they are so realistic it almost looks real! Great job!
