SciFi and Fantasy Art: A Wood Sprite

This took me over a week to do, most of my work takes a day or two. I did it in a larger size and had to shrink it down for Elfwood. I feel this version lost a lot of detail, if you'd like to see the full sized version click here (196KB). I was inspired to do this by Julie Zhuo and I actually used some tips from her colouring tutorial.

Hi Phil, thought I commented on this already...hmm.. perhaps I did it in woodchat.. anyway, I like her hair and the nice highlights and the long flowing gown too. The little blue glowing fairy is a nice touch and the background is looking nice and lush and really adds atmosphere to the whole drawing. The only two little
critiques and they aren't biggies, is her feet do look small but seeing as she is an elf, small feet would be a good thing. The other is the eyes, well the one on the far side, it's just not quite aligned with the other, the angle is just a little tilted to far upward. However I'm just quibbling. Nice pic all round! ^_^ Keep it up, hard work always pays off, imporovements are going well! ^_^

Hey! Just wanted to say that this is definately my favourite out of all your artwork. I like your use of colour and shadows, and the picture overall is really cute!

It's very good, but her right eye makes the cheeks look proportioned wrong.

Hey! I'm an anime artist too! I think that part of her head is a little off, but other than that it is an adorable picture. Oh, and I love the little fairy. How do you make her look see throughish?
