SciFi and Fantasy Art: Concert In The Round

Well, I descided that I would do a piece that was set in the woods, and so i needed a woodish subject, and I figured that a satyr is naturey enough, so here is my little satyr sitting on a rock, playing his violen for all the little birds. the satyr, the rock, the birds and the tree trunks were done in prismacolor colored pencils, the ground and the foliage was done in watercolor. The original image is 16 x 22 inches

2 Jun 2004	Meghanna Starsong	Loading... Too bad you had to shrink the painting down so small. I'm sure there are so many upclose details that you painted which are amazing. But for what I can see...You are extremely talented! What a painting..the little satyr reminds me of "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe"... It's a great composition too, and the colors all blend so well together. The concept I find to be very classic and well executed as well. The theme itself is somewhat wistful, and the feel of it is hushed in silence. The birds really are listening to his song...and the audience wishes that it could be heard by their ears as well.
