SciFi and Fantasy Art: Wonderland Asylum

Alice has gone through the looking glass, but when she returns the glass is broken, and she is forever trapped in Wonderland Asylum.
This is my favorite piece so far.  It is done in 1:12 or 1 inch scale (1 inch = 1 foot)  All the characters were created from polymer clay.  Cheshire and the March Hare are only about 2 and a half to three inches long and have fur too!  The 5 inch tall Mad Hatter is wearing a tiny linen straight jacket that  I had to create working metal buckles for, because they needed to be so small.  There are many tiny details like a hand painted picture of the cheshire cat on an easel, a ooak hand sculpted and painted cup and saucer,  handsculpted fireplace,  whimsical clock, etc..  The inside of the shadow box is decorated complete with harlequin floor tile, and distressed walls.
I even wrote a poem, in the spirit of Alice in Wonderland, to go with the piece.

Amazing -like everything you do! You know what; I'd like to read that poem of yours that goes with this piece.

:-) Michelle Bradshaw replies: "I tried to include the picture of Alice, with the poem, in my gallery, but they wouldn't accept it. If you send me an email I can send it too you."

Hey this is very cool! I first thought that it is a part of a doll house or something..That would have been the greatest doll house ever! I like Alice's almost wondering look in her face and Mad Hatter is just great. He really looks like he has completely lost it..12

Your art is so awesome. i mean that in the exact definition of the word... i was filled with awe.

i'll be honest. even now, i'm shaking my head in disbelief and a resigned sense of failure that i will never be able to do what you can do. as i scrolled through all of your pics of your masterpieces... my jaw slung open the whole time and i was inches from the screen... i couldn't believe it. i looked for any flaw... any sign that these were not beautiful and raw. but alas... they are perfect and awe inspiring. keep it up. everyone needs an ego check every once in a while. you were mine.

"Getting there is half the fun". True with this piece? Looks like it! Nice work too, but i think the cheshire cat looks a bit creepy. Love the clock!
