| 13 Feb 2001 | Laura Sillers | Hi! Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your gallery. I understand how someone might decide not to continue drawing fantasy art, cause it's one genre that never receives all the credit it deserves, but someone with your talent in art should keep drawing something or another as long as he can hold a pencil or a brush. Talentless people like me are very envious of those who have the kind of gift that you do. *^o^* | |
| 9 Mar 2001 | Keone Kai | I have to say.

| 27 Jan 2002 | Oakbear | First Mr. Porter, I checked out your artwork and found it to be pretty good stuff. It is certainly better than 25% of the work I have looked at in detail today. It could use some polish and some work on perspective, but I believe you said these works were somewhat dated. Continued practice should bring still further improvement. I would love to see newer work. As to your comments about fantasy, please permit me to say a few words. Fantasy is your best way to escape assimilation into the sea of faceless masses. Magic exists in belief of magic. If you give up your dreams, whether they be of being an artist or those of elves and trolls, you will be swept away on the tide of cubicles, faxes, day-trading, and so on. That is a gray and colorless world with lots of unhappy people who need therapists and analysts. | |

| 13 Jan 2003 | Rachel A. Jensen | Don't let society drain your imagination and childhood. Hang on to who you are and fight for what makes you happy. I just turned 19 and also face those questions, yet I've found that nothing really changes, You just react different. I hope life treats you well.
