SciFi and Fantasy Art: Eye of the Beholder

Messing around with backgrounds... I actually think I suceeded in making a background!! I'm so happy! The main focus of this pic is the vine creature, I call it a Vinic. It's staring at you like you just jumped up behind it and yelled, and it doesn't think the joke is very funny. This started out as just a Vinic sketch, and I eventually dug it out and started adding leaves, and rocks, and a dead tree... it turned into one of my best works yet! Vinic species is (c) to me.
