SciFi and Fantasy Art: Phara Study

This is a line sketch of one of my recently made creatures, the Phara. These, strange, ten foot creatures live on the planet Pirantia 17 (Look at planets), but only because their old planet was destroyed by the Galit. They are omnivores, but prefer giant friut such as melons and citrus. Their four wings allow them to fly with little effort, and their claws can easily be used as both weapons and a means to gather food. One of the most interesting creatures I've made yet. The little scribble beside it is actually a stick human, made to show the size of a full grown Phara compared to a six foot human. Phara species, Pirantia 17, and Galit species (c) to me. (oh, and I want to know what color/s this would look real as. Comment if you think you have a good, realistic color for it:)

seeing as it is slightly reminiscent of a praying mantis or walking stick in my eyes I keep seeing this being in a green brown faded mixture (if that makes sense) I love you're creations... they are all very realistic and amazingly unique compared to most other's made up beings... Please keep posting the creatures of your planet... they make for an interesting study when I'm bored ^_^ Love and peace ^_^\/nn

Yeah, those are exactly the colors I thought it would look good as, but I'm going to see what some other people think before I start coloring it, so they can get their opinions in too12 I hope I can make many more good creatures in times to come 2"

I like it. It's unusual and unique. I see it with scarlet red legs and antennae, canary yellow tail and main part of wings with flight feathers a mixture of red and gold/yellow. That's just my opinion. Keep up with the unique creatures!

Beautiful picture, very unique creature. It seems to me like some sort of mixture of a praying mantis, dinosaur or dragon, and some sort of heron-like bird. Fun. 2
I imagine this creature in sort of a blend of bright earthy colors such as yellow, light orangish brown, tan, etc. Possibly a bit of silver, blue, or red (red feet, probably) somewhere in there too. Top part of the wings bright yellow, feathers one of three types of multi-color: rainbow, contrasting to the body, or the colors used in the body (each feather being an individual color instead of blended).

I really love all the species you have created; they really inspire me. This is one of my favorites. I think the size is perfect for the animal, too.
Can't wait to see more creatures of yours! Keep up the good work! 2

I love being able to give others the ideas they need for their own art. Now, I shall start working, and hopefully have the picture up soon 2"
