SciFi and Fantasy Art: Home Guardian

I am so happy I finally finished this picture! This is a VERY late housewarming gift for a friend and fellow-writer named Barb. Allison and Mike, also fellow-writers, commissioned this piece for Barb many moons ago, and now Barb can finally call it her own. But SHHHHHH! It's a surprise! ^_^

This was done with watercolor and colored pencil. The original is about 14 x 11 inches.

The pigeons were a pain in the tail...

As much as I love sharp teeth and big claws, it’s surprising how much of my color and design sense has been influenced by butterflies and tropical fish. Glad you like this guy."
