| 10 Jan 2008 | Miriam Tschanen | This is so beautiful... brilliant imagination. Though I'm not sure he'll be able to fly with all those legs. Seems kind of odd. | |

| 11 Jan 2008 | Katherine Minty | Weirdo... haha! Just kidding! I find it fascinating! Excellent details, and your colour scheme is GORGEOUS! Rachael Mayo replies: "LOL - Oh nonono, "weirdo" is very much me. It runs in the family, in fact. And it inspires us to new heights of Strange and Unusual, in order to tickle your brain with marvelous new ideas." | |
| 17 Jan 2008 | Heidi Hecht | Now this is one of the most original ideas I’ve seen. Kind of unusual, which is not a bad thing at all. A less talented artist would have made it look "cartoonish" but you did awesome! Rachael Mayo replies: "A cartoonish sort of octoparrot is what inspired the idea in the first place, so making this birdiesquid fairly realistic was really the point of the exercise. I wanted to see if I could make the creature look like it *could* function in the real world, in spite of its outlandish nature. Glad you like it, and thanks!" | |
