SciFi and Fantasy Art: Wings of Justice

This is my end of a trade with DeviantArt buddy QuestingRaven.

The character is Jericho, a gunslinger with some peculiar abilities in QuestingRaven's Twilight Hour series. Mangled with permission.

The image I used as a point of reference shows this great column of light that's forming wings behind Jericho, and I absolutely loved the effect (yeah, WINGS! Big surprise there...), so I wanted to make sure I incorporated something wing-like in my own interpretation of the character. I was actually shooting for blue fire, but the coloring job makes it seem much more like slightly-spikey water.

Ah well. At least it's blue. That's all that matters. *guffaw*

I did this with pen and ink, watercolor and Prismacolor pencils.
