| 3 Oct 2004 | Chelle | I really really like this one! It actually briefly reminded me of Peter Pan for a second, but I do like the sandman. I always thought of the Sandman as being an old, gentle grandpa sort of guy, or a cranky old guy who's deprived of dreams and the only thing he has to occupy himself is to make people dream, but he's bitter about it because he can not dream himself. I like the Sandman being young though, a boy who give dreams to humans in their sleep. I really like his hair, too- its all over the place and wispy and "woosh." And him blowing on the bit of sand left... like he's blowing it to his last dreamer for the night. His eyes almost look a little mischievious, too, or as if he's blowing that bit of dust to you, or as if you're really not supposed to be able to see him and he's a bit annoyed by that. Well, now that I've successfully over-analyzed this piece (sorry), I'll leave other to comment as well on this fantastic Sandman. Bravo, Bravo. | |
