| 17 Jun 2004 | Anonymous | Just as a pointer, the area around Shayol Ghul, as Jordan describes it, is in a permenant state of twilight | |
| 27 Jun 2008 | Asha’man | Shayol Ghul rises over the Valley of Thakan’dar, which is shrouded in fog, rolling and crashing against black cliffs, yet dry and perpetually cold, in the Blasted Lands, not in the Mountains of Dhoom (it’s scores of miles to the north), under a sky "black with his [the DO’s] breath at noon" and fit to make men mad. | |
| 27 Jun 2008 | Asha’man | Oh, and, lightning streaks up from the Valley of Thakan’dar into the sky; the fires of Trolloc forges glow red under the fog. Clouds obscure the peak and sky, an inverted seaof ashen waves crashing around the peak. At least one (there very well could more) forge, (used only for making Fade-blades) is housed in the mountain, but only the entrance and smoke holes (some fist-sized, others big enough to swallow ten men) are visible next to black rivulets (I *think* it’s water) running down the black slopes and captives waiting to be killed as part of macking Fade-blades. | |
