I am an Elf trapped in human form. I have brown eyes and hair, and glasses, for goodness sake! At least my hair's long, and I can now wear contacts (at least when I'm not working with evil chemicals in Chem lab or working with my favourite modern weapon, the geology hammer, out in the field) I am a student at Auckland University, in New Zealand. I draw dragons, and my fellow Elves. I also do origami, and make up my own designs, including dinosaurs and New Zealand native creatures, and am currently writing a book on origami in which I shall draw the pictures.
Anyway...
I have 14 fixed dragon characters that I draw, they all have different colouring, mannerisms, ages (and names too of course.) I draw several different Elves. More as time goes on and I meet new ones. I also play as my real self in LARPs... anything to pass the time before I find a way into Elfland.
For art I generally use pencil then trace over in ink pen, and colour with Aquarel pencils and then go over the scanned picture in Photoshop to take out lines and smoothe the pictures. I almost never use paints though I probably should!
I suppose I get my inspiration from SF/Fantasy books, lord knows I've read enough. (200 per year) I also have written a few short stories and several poems put on Wyvern's Library, and am stuck in the middle of writing about 5 more stories. Now I have some previews up of them. (Mostly about Elves. I have yet to write a story about dragons.) I am currently studying the Elvish language, Quenya, and write fluently in the dwarvish certar (runes) and Elvish tengwar (letters.) (From The Complete Guide to Middle Earth, by Robert Foster.)

Somebody decided that my drawing with Tengwar and Certar in it (Elven writing and Dwarven runes) was not suitable for Elfwood, being copyright to Peter Jackson... Obviously being related to Fran Walsh does not help. Am I now officially not allowed to write in Elven? Damn that I say, I shall write ín the language of the people of Eneldore then. They don't live in Middle-Earth. So that should work. *snickers* I cant help it if they are conveniently tall, with pointy ears and long hair...

that was rude. if Rhiannon is an elf, shes an elf! hi Rhiannon, at the moment i can't be searched for on this site because i just joined elfwood (incase you wanted to know who was typing you) and my computer wont let me sign in as myself. but i am just learning elvish and was inspired by your site!! this is not the last time i will visit it!! i will be back when my computer isn't acting up!!!

your dragons are great, i collect dragon alphabets for my own use, as my nick name is dragon.
have you made these dragons into downloadable fonts. if you have, would you please send me the alphabet.
