SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hand of the Lady

Okay, I've done a lot of work lately, but unfortunately, I don't have easy access to a scanner. So I decided to upload the sketch I drew to create 'Lady of the Lake with Excalibur'. I really liked it in B&W, but it looks so lonely without the sword (which I created entirely in photoshop. I know its old, but pray that I get a scanner, and soon! Inspired by the movie 'Excalibur' (and the Cleanworks guys at Vanguard). Chip and Steve, this one was for you...literally. Oh, and before you ask, she is wearing something like a cross between chainmail and fish scales. I didn't 'finish' the outfit in the peliminary sketches (I did that in Photoshop). But I think you get the idea even in its unfinished state.

This is to Jem if there's any return: I must say you really know how to ruin art. I mean, it's the artist's imagination and artistic ability going into the same piece you have the nerve to diss. Please don't leave comments like that anymore. It's rather rude. Now, to the artist: I love this work. It's simple, plain, yet interesting. There's more behind it than meets the eye, I think. 2 great work.

This person Jem, obviously does not know art, she only sees the object, not the feeling surrounding it. I found the piece lovely, the lines and textures are nice, and it brings to mind perhaps a hand extended in a desperate prayer, surrounded by beads of rosary.
