SciFi and Fantasy Art: Let My Arms Reach

Taken from a poem of mine that inspired this....

'Winter fell before me
The last of its whisper melting on my skin
Quiet undercurrents rise now and I can feel them
Shimmer on the surface of my breath
Waiting to catch the wind and be carried
Into a place beyond boundaries
Do you think me ready, never ending Sky
To be taken over by the width of tomorrow…?
Let my arms grow like branches under the sunlight
Driven with the spirit of eyes that are always calling
And let me take hold of the fear that has held me…
Offer it to the path I cannot see,
Spread it before all that makes me tremble,
So that my heart is bare to the quality of the wind…
And my eyes can taste all the stars have to offer.'

10 Sep 2005	Melissa	Loading... Oh my god. I absolutely love the poem. I (somewhat) consider myself a poet, but this is beyond everything i've written and almost anything I've read. You should contact the UN or Unicef or the Progressive Resources catalog (http://www.donnellycolt.com/catalog/core.shtml) and sumbit the art and the poem for a postcard design or something. Seriously. This is just stunning. There is such hope and light and encouragement in this. Good luck with everything.
