SciFi and Fantasy Art: Asian mermaid

Well done, its simple but it says a lot. The body structure is well done and the color of the tail goes great with the body. It's an execellant picture.

I really like the simplicity of this drawing. The stark outlines are a good contrast to the soft shading. It makes it look very oriental, because Asian art is usually very simple. There are only two places I can see that might require improvement. The tail (which looks wonderful in green, I don't know why anyone would want it to be blue) is bent at kind of a strange angle underneath her, which makes it look two dimensional because it folds too sharply. Either the tail out straight or having a very broad curve to it would be more believable I think. Also, I think that's supposed to be a rock under her head, correct? It took me a while to figure this out. If it is supposed to be a rock, it might be best to either outline it and include other rocks in the area and possibly give more contrast in shading the base of it. Also, because the color is very similar to her skin, it kind of looks like a growth on the back of her head. I love the face and the hair though, they are just wonderful! This is a beautiful picture.

It's a very nice picture. It's so simple but beautiful and has nice coloring. It's kinda sad though..she's stuck on the beach. Is she dead?

If you write and draw porn stuff in ur books and like this picture just because she is half naked, then somethings you got issues. Somethings wrong with you (last sentence to those only who fit the description here) *looks at the reader sternly*
