SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Pixie's Gift

This is the result of a #lothDSG session... The theme for the sketch was 'The Pixie's Gift,' and the first sketch I did was terrible...

But I liked the theme itself, and so I sat down later on and started making this... There's something not right with his wings... and the little flying fairy lights look a bit awkward, too, but overall I liked it, so I'm posting it up.

I think it's fabulous! The wings are what made me ooo and aaaa... and my little sister was awed by the 'fairy lights'. I think they're sooooo perty!

:-) Ric Aerones Rastoskey replies: "Thank you. I just wish I could have gotten the wings to look a bit less "flat" than they do. There's no sense of depth to them, really... I think they're lighted well, and I'm happy with the colors, bit I just wish they had a bit more "substance" to them."

yeah i've got to agree with that guy about the maleness theme... lol. that was (hilariously) the first thing i noticed. then i noticed the naked guy.. and decided that this wasn't bad.. NOT BAD AT ALL! lol. anyways. i'm too lazy to comment on all your artwork.. but you're awesome. you do a really great job of portraying the (human) body proportionately. yay for you!

I love it. His wings and the fairy lights are the best parts, though I must say (hopefully without sounding sick) that the fairy lights look a lot like sperm. Is that the gift...of fertility or life?
