| 21 Mar 2002 | Pyrewulf | I know this is old hat already, but the earlier dispute on the gender of Gabriel caught my attention. And I have a solution: May be this is an angel named Gabriel, but not THE Gabriel so often mentioned in the Bible.
Not to mention this is a true divine spirit, so petty disputes about biblical correctness are irrelevant because It appears to me to be to real to be any true child of the Christian 'God'. Christian 'angels' are more of just flashes of light that can talk.
I know it's much to late, but I think I've figured out why you're not quite satisfied with the "half-submerged" look. It's the index of refraction. Air and Water have two different indices of refraction, which is why a pencil in a beaker of water will look "broken". So, just angle every thing below the water line to the side a bit more extremely than the stuff above, and voila! Perfecto!

But okay let's go on. Everything looks good so far What I wanted to tell you is, how I'm still enjoying your dear Gabriel. She still draws me in She will always be my favourite. She is not only of artistic value to me, but also of emotional value. Want to know why? Of course When I first came here to your gallery, you were creating Gabriel. I can still remember the feeling I got, when I came here, I was totally perplexed, that somone who could make this splendid artwork had visited my gallery and as it seemed even liked my work. Of course I like your works! I still do! It changed my whole life! And you did not only leave a first, welcoming comment, but came back! That was a real surprise and a great inspiration to me. I was inspired by your continued visits, so thank you, Anneke! Maybe you wonder why I'm telling you all this, I want you to know, how much you can influence peoples lives, when you're such a talented artist and friend. Everytime I welcome a new artist I hope and would be so happy if I could do the same magic, as you did to me. (Blushing)
