SciFi and Fantasy Art: Angel Iadara: Governing Guardian of Virgos (Little Candle of Light)

This is the very beginning of the image I call 'Iadara', the Angel that governs the Virgos of the Zodiac sign. Hopefully, it will be of quality for the Archangels Portfolio. You may ask why I have two pictures with eyes on the gallery. Well, the first one, that is untitled, is not going to be finished. I rather complete this one, which is harder to do, at least for me. The eyes that you see, are in actually, only a inch long each one, so you can see the details were hard to put to it. I am putting the image so you can see the evolution of the image as it is being developed......

Commenting on Ms. Meyer's comment about the sheen... I think the lack thereof on her left eye defines the light source. Perhaps her face is turned to a degree that the light does not directly shine upon her little ol' left eyeball there. A lovely pair of eyes they are! The shading for the lids is marvelous. Keep it up.Thank you, Paula. And I must congratulate you on having a keen eye yourself. Your analysis of the light source is great. You know, maybe this image loans itself to either adding the light to the left eye, to equalize with the right, or just leaving it sheenless, making a different light source. Either way, thank you for the visit and great comment, Paula!

I think eyes are what I do best, but hey, that's just my opinion...

Wonderful eye detail, very realistic ^_^. The light background really highlights the shading and everything. Keep up the great work. Thank you, Sarah. I have always tried for photorealism, though I have to admit, I have yet to dominate the concept of 'backgrounds'

Wow. Those eyes are SOOO beautiful! Omigosh. I don't even know what else to say. I like how they're not just.. straight on, y'know? You have it from the side a bit. It's really great.

Wonderfully Captiveeating. A work of art all by itself. Those Eyes are so captivating. Wait. Those look familiar...
Never mind. I thought I'd seen somebody with those eyes before, and I was right, I have, but I was tripping out at that point. To many SweetTarts Eggs in a short period of time. I had three Boxes in fifteen minutes, and everything looked like molten wax, and when people sat on the couch it rippled like a pond after someone throws in a pebble. It was freaky.

Um ya i was just reading the top comments and i can see how the light could have missed it or not reached it or w/e, which is a very good point but i still think just a little bit of light would bring it more to life than it allready is, but ya its your picture do what you will thats just my opinion 2

ya the left eye definetly needs a light sourse like the right one on the pupl other wise the one eye looks kinda dead. But i love the right eye its very well done.
