Since when did everyone become such prudes? Sheesh, there is nothing wrong with flaunting a bit of flesh in your artwork every now and then! Hehe I was just flipping through some past comments of yours and thought I'd have a bit of a rant
Red head girl: if you don't like pictures where there's a bit of nipple or buttcheek then don't look at them. Swimsuit??? Honestly...
Beren: you're so not clever. Try finding a more productive way of wasting your life or at least provide some constructive criticism!

Persently I'm suspecting it to be a culture thing. Elfwood is European (North Europe to make things worse). As a general rule, you can't shock people with a little "nudity in art" in Skandinavia. But it does very much seem to be the case in other parts of the world, though."

This is so cute! I love the lighting and her facial expression. Excellent colour choices for her hair and tail too. Nice work!

I love this! She's so cute and happy! She's perfect-the only thing i would suggest is making the nipples more of a skin tone-they're kind of bright.

Eeee! I finally figured it out! This Dee/Beren person who simply copies and pastes the same comment onto every nude/semi-nude/not-even-semi-nude-but-showing-a-bit-of-thigh picture is merely jealous! S/He knows s/he will never look as good as the nude/semi-/you-already-read in the picture, so s/he tries to discourage any drawings of it so her/his self-confidence will not plummet to the bottom pits of the deepest abysses of the earth every time s/he merely catches a glimpse of the artwork from brilliant artists like you!

At least, that's my theory at, oh, three in the morning. And I think the entire thing was one big run-on sentence. Must...have...sleep...

At any rate, I really love the picture. Mermaids are one of my favorite fantasy creatures, up there with dragons and phoenixes--or would that be phoenixi? Meh. I especially enjoy the play of the light across her skin. I never really thought about it until now, but I don't think very many mermaid pictures have that included...hmmmm...

Also it's kind of hard to do with a lot of traditional medias. I know I wouldn't want to try it with markers. XD "

I like alot! she looks real pretty and i live the colouring (i would do that ’sept i don’t have the software or the patience!!!) she seems really happy. very well done, keep it up!!

Nah, Tig, I just think they have to much time on there hands. I mean they obviously don’t hate it, they spam every nude, seminude pic that comes around. lol. I really like her smile. It makes me happy.

yeah, and it’s great to see the big real picture now!!! she’s even more beautiful than on the thumnails of the steps!!! i specially love the water reflections on her body. you also chose very vivid colours which make her look even more cheery!!! great job, my congrats for your well deserved star!!!

Love the green hair and whose to say that a mermaid would have the same coloring as humans??? Everything about this picture makes me smile. Great job!!
