SciFi and Fantasy Art: Triana Card

Lesse today was my friend's wedding and I was all ready gift `n everything...until about an hour before I had to leave while wrapping the pressie, I realized I had no card...so well...I made one using the template from the wedding gift box I had from me friend's wedding in 2000. Printed it off from the compy, inked it properly since my printer is dying and thought hey why not use those Copic markers? Well I whipped this up in about 3 minutes including printing time...turned out pretty well. I had to glue shiny inside leaf to spruce up the card. Anyhoo I only had flesh and greytone Copic Markers so here it is! Done June 23rd 2002

Just one comment.. What a shame.. I love this picture. She is absolutely beautiful. Especially when I read that you did it in about 3 minutes! Wow.. she is lovely. *Applauds*

:-) Rosemary Jennifer Wong replies: "thanks 2 I like the drawing but the copic markers aren't too bad if I don't think too hard about how I'm going to use them 2 funnily enough"

Very lovely. Nice, simple spots of color makes this picture even better. =3 Dazed expression?

:-) Rosemary Jennifer Wong replies: "hehehe only colour is her flesh 2 I wish I could have done this in red tones....especially considering this was for a wedding card >."

Love the grey. She looks so calm, like she knew something we don't. Creepy, almost. But this is very nice. The very light colouring on the wings gives them an interesting 'featherless' feeling - in a some sort of symbolic way. Oh, I'm not going to start analyzing my weird thoughts any further than this... I'm just going to say that the day I found grey roses in Elfwood, can't be too bad. Excellent work!

:-) Rosemary Jennifer Wong replies: "Hehehe yes a little creepy....and I didn't notice til I got to the church >."

Lovely! I like that it's has lots of greys and one color.
What marker did you use for the skin? E00?

:-) Rosemary Jennifer Wong replies: "lesse I think I used for the base skin YR000 and then E21 for shading...I need more colours >."

I love the drawing, it is great, just wondering....Where did you get the name triana from?

:-) Rosemary Jennifer Wong replies: "Thanks...the name? Well it was my first online handle...also my friend rp character. I sort of just take syllybles and put them together until I get something that sounds interesting or nice. Triana was one 18 later my friend told me it's a common last name in South America or something...and later I saw it used in one of the Pern novels written by Anne McCaffrey...but wow...that was a long time ago...in 96 or 97 or something when I came up with it...anyhoo enough rambling on my part 18 thanks for commenting"
