SciFi and Fantasy Art: Nikhalas I

The Nikhalas are a Sisterhood that sail on the Southern seas. Everything begans with a ship owned by a merchant specialized in slaves, in female slaves. When they were traveling to an important city, they found a girl, apparently a young elf, small and with a strange look. He decides that she could make hime gain more gold, so he rescued her. But the girl was not an elf, she is an strange creature with an awesome power that kill all the tripulation of the ship and take the control of it. This was the beggining, and now the sisterhood had five ships and a lot of powerful warriors, mages, clerics, etc, most of them rescued from slave´s ships and trained. All of them uses powerful protection tatoos made by the witch who created the sisterhood, the one you see on this picture on the right. The one of the center is the captain, and the other one is a master swashbuckler. UUf...^_^

This doesn't look like a case of 'chicks in chainmail' to me, seeing that they're *pirates*. You can't swim in armour, it's hot out, armour is heavy, slaves can't really afford it, male pirates go topless anyways, these women come from a different culture.... I don't intend to be racist, but this picture comes off as having a West Indies kinda flavor, and the first person to go to 17th century Barbados and tell people it's immoral to go around topless can tell the artist these women need clothes.

WOW! I totally love it. I rp quite a bit and my fav character is a female pirate. I am not good at drawing, so I have been looking for a pic that looks most like her. I was wondering if you did character pics. I don't care how long it took you and if you don't, I understand. If you would e-mail me and I will tell you her description. sunzgoddess13@msn.com

Great picture. The perspective is spot on, I think anyway. The expression's are priceless and I love the shading on the hair. Is the background finished? I'm creating a pirate tour may I include this image? Please?
