SciFi and Fantasy Art: Starborn

Well there you have it. A background. Yes that's partially the only reason i placed this pic up here is just so i'd have a picture with a background. ^_^ Anyways, i'm not very happy with this particular picture. It started out as a doodle that i was rather fond of, so i scanned it in my puny low res photo-scanner, proceeded to to attempt to colour it, and voila! Lots of mistakes, arms to long, feet at odd angles.. and what IS that swirly thing anyways? I dunno, but it was fun to play with!

The movement is very, very good, with the hair balancing out the swirly green orb.The colors comment eachother very well, also, and yet it conveys this peaceful feeling, like the viewer is floating -with- her. Very, very nice.

I love this one. It's so wonderfully spacy yet she looks underwater to me...which works very well. Ok I'll shut up now but I reeeaaallly like it!
