SciFi and Fantasy Art: Churning Seas of Absu

This picture is based on the underworld <for lack of a better term> in Sumerian mythology. On the astral plane, this place is probably just a vast wasteland filled with the most vile of abominations <demons, serpents, and other creations of that sort>... But according to the symbology in Sumerian lore it is a murky, rank, churning sea, deep below the earth <also filled with vile things>. In my picture, I basically drew it to represent the way it looked to me in a dream I had. I tried to make the water look mucky and thick as well as chaotic, which represents the forces of its inhabitants.
