SciFi and Fantasy Art: BLACK WIDOW

This is a 1997 line drawing of the infamous 'Black Widow' Ralidan (Izurnadus inferamortus) seen from below. It has the deservedly nasty reputation of attacking anything that gets too close to the nest when there are larva present. This, supposedly, includes the male of the species-- who would not hesitate to pounce on its own young.....The name is derived from this and its shiny black coat of fine fur with its bright red or purple 'infinity symbol' markings along the back (diamonds on belly). It only has two large belly fangs, but,the venom is a hemotoxin which literally burns away the victim's blood causing rapid and excruciating death in even fairly large animals. Despite its inherent aggressiveness, the species can be trained to function as a falcon. (That's one 'Evil' birdie!) It is a super-swift flyer with lightening quick reflexes and attacks. It's at about the same IQ as the common Ralidan (see Dydyl)

I agree with the above comment; It would make a fantastic tattoo! Even better if it could find its way into a Star wars movie! That'd be a really scary alien monster! I can see all those kid's rooms with a Motorized flapping flyer of this thing whirling around the room! I'd buy one!

If Dydyl were a "Poke'Mon", then this would be "Evil Dydyl".-- Poke'dex; "Evil Dydyl" A composite insect/serpent Poke'mon of the Electric-venomous variety. Has deadly Venom in retracting spines on its belly. Females are more aggressive than are males. Evil Dydyls will defend their silken nests to the death against any and all attackers.
