| 2 Feb 2001 | Tania Arvanitidis | EEEEE! This is really cool! I WANT ONE! Wait... then it would probably... tear me up... into little pieces... errr, nevermind. Great job, as always.
Arv..what?! Any relation to Avantrius? (He's one of my multitude of gryphon characters who likes to thunder-swoop on unsuspecting herds of Geezbok.)...No. The dreavahr won't tear you into little peices. It would much prefer you to be already deceased before dinning on you....most of the time they're fairly docile and unaggressive. As pets they can be quite loyal. Their claws aren't very sharp, neither is their beak, and the few teeth they have are fairly small. So they're not major pouncers. In fact this one is stopped in mid stride and hjis tail has hit the ground as he prepares to consider a hasty escape from a flapping venesian blind...He's cocking his head as he tries to comprehend this strange "Creature".... No offense meant by the moronic crack about your name--I was just being silly for the sake of this reply. Sounds kind of Greek in origins, is It? | |
| 6 Feb 2001 | Chakotay the Gryphon | *Kee-ya!* Scavenger huh? Maybe I can get him to eat my C- essay that absolutely died. He DOES remind me of those ickies from "Dark Crystal." (I seen it once on the Disney Channel.) @.@ | |
| 3 May 2001 | Foxy Firetalons | OOOOHHHH! He's sooooo CUUUUUTE! I just wanna grab him and hug him for a couple of hours straight! This is really a great drawing, very realistic looking...like you have the creature for real standing in this adorable pose while you draw it! It really does capture exactly the emotions you say he's having! The head is perfectly angled and the body looks just stiff enough to be tense at the instant. Even the tail looks right, 'cause you can tell its not normally dragged on the ground when he's walking. I think a real dinosaur might look just like this in the same situation! Just beautiful work! PS: I don't think he looks at all like a Skeksis....More like a friendlier Velociraptor, but, NOT a Skeksis! | |
| 15 May 2001 | Ginger Raven | It looks like a cross 'tween a skeksis and a raptor, with a splash of vulture...you must have an imagination the size of..er..something very big.. | |
| 23 May 2001 | Tania Arvanitidis / Terra-Caligo | Yep, it's Greek ^-^ Dun worry about the last name joke, I'm okay with it. | |
| 5 Jun 2001 | Anna R. Dunster (Azzacanth) | *agrees with Nams* The shadow is the fully awesomest thing. *o.Os at the way she's talking this afternoon* The shadow is what made me go, "hmm" and click this piccy. :-P I want one! ... *looks at the ground* Err, nevermind. I guess I already have one :-P The critter is cool too :-P hehehe... | |
| 9 Jul 2002 | Katie 'Amaranth' Grider | Wow... He looks Very raptor-like. Great design!!! | |
| 24 Feb 2003 | Unknown | Nice picture Eric It looks real | |
| 25 Feb 2003 | Maarten De Koster | My attention went not so much to the creature as to the wooden boards behind it! This might sound like a weird comment to give someone who has a gallery full of griffins and stuff, but they are just magnificently drawn! They must've taken you long enough...Incredible job, congrats! Oh yeah, the creature's funky too! xD | |
| 22 Feb 2004 | Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse | Oh. I don't want to live near them, if the noise is like what you said. All the ones living next to him must be deaf.... though, he looks friendly somehow, otherwise... | |
