SciFi and Fantasy Art: DRAGONRIDER

This could go in Loth, except for the futuristic city in the background. This was drawn in very early 1990 and represents a Czharanthusi warrior astride his magnificent (and terrifying) Raultahrlaca (Raultahrlacas tannaraensis / R. gwythaintius). This takes place some 75 million years into the future where a new sentient species has dominion over the Earth. Dr. Voraundu's first temporal excursion lands him in the middle of a war between two rival factions of these Rat-people. With the timeship on the fritz, he must strive to end this senseless war, before he becomes one of its casualties! Needless to say, that's not an easy task--especially as these creatures have only seen humans in nutural history museums....The level of Rat-folk technology is roughly about where humans were in the 1880's, with elementc of 20th century architechture.
