I'm way too tired right now to go into any lengthy details--(I heard all those cheers out there!)-- So here's the nutshell version; These are Thuronarith and Lurandath, The new piebald breed of Panther-Raven. They are genetically altered offspring of Midnight and Lyrasha. The drawing was derived from thatr old 1987 drawing of Midnight. It's simplistically colored in and this is the best of the four possible color patterns I experimented with. Hope you like them. (Oh,BTW; Midnight and Lyrasha are huge fans of Anne McCaffrey's 'Dragonriders of Pern' Novels, so they began the Pantheraven tradition of inventing completely new names for their young which will always end in 'TH'.)
There it is! This is so cute, as nambroth said so right! I am glad you coloured it and placed it here. They are really sweet and I love this one!*
Thanx Much! They were rather difficult to get right..or as right as I was able to get with my limited skills. And tthis is the only place where I can display my art, for it is the only place where my critters truly belong--assuming that they belong anywhere....This drawing goes to a new collection I am calling "The Groovy Gryphons of Graplahr's Drey" collection. The theme will be "Cute and Cuddly" with that "Floofy" look to them.
Eee...better and better all the time..those colors are really awesome! The purple on black really stands out! Those floofy feathers on the napes are neato...and they're cute!!*
"Floofy"? Another new word for my ever growing vocabulary...( OooooH! I just had a mental image of a "Disney-esque" cartoon Gryphon named "Floofy". *Shudders with the terror of the notion.Ooooo) Yeah, I went through four color schemes on miniaturized copies before deciding on this one as the best looking. Glad I was right-for a change.
You have a great imagination!! This is an adoarable drawing!! Love the colors!!*
THANX. I know I have a fairly good imagination...part of my problem in life and the primary component of "The Curse", But, What real good is it doing either myself or others? I'd really like to know.*sighs*

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooh!!!!!! This one outshines all the others!!!!! They're ssooooooo adorable and snug-huggly. I could just jump into the screen to join them. I absolutely LOVE the really snazzy names you've got going for your gryphies. THURONARITH. LURANDATH. The names just roll off your tongue like some romantic and exotic foriegn language! I just love the "Floofyness" of these two gryphies! If they could be made as plushy thingys I'd buy a pair for everyone I know- they'd go really well with the plushy of Wrenfro I told you about earlier! Your 3D effect is great for these two! Did you do this by hand or on the computer?*
"Snug-Huggly"? There's a new phraze for my repertoire; "Snug-Huggly" I'll use it in a sentence sometime. In my world, the Panther-Ravens truly are very "snug-huggly" gryphons ....( Hey!? I made a sentence!) The actual 3D was ruined by the scanner, so I'm glad it came out good enough to see on screen....I'm learning how to make the 3D effect, and it's a new thing...Oh I learned it one upon a time, long ago, back in art class, but, never much had the patience (Or the wits about me) to perfect it.....I am changing and re-aranging my life and thinking processes, so, maybe someday, I'll be Normal....Then my art and ideas will be normal too and then......who knows? Maybe Spielberg (Dreamworks--What does the "SKG" stand for anyway) will take a look-see at my world...What'd'ya think, any hope there? Didn't think so...*sighs*

DISNEY NEEDS YOU, TRALFY. They REALLY Need You! You should contact them and show them your stuff & Stories! I'm sure something would get their attention! These are Incredible! I love them! Their Looks and their names are so Just Totally Awesome! Incredible imagination! Beautiful art! Cuddly Cute Griffins! Just the sort of thing Disney needs! I would love to see them in a Movie! I'd bet it would be the biggest Box Office hit since the Lion King! No. BIGGER! Way Bigger! Eric R. Vondell ~ 'Tralfaz Aquilleon' replies: "Everyone says this to me. But, it is NOT possible to contact Disney--or anyone else to show this sort of stuff to them. It's not even possible to write fan letters to most folk in "Hollywood" anymore. They got these "We do Not Accept Any Unsolicited Art / Ideas /Stories / Fan mail" type policies. Their E-mails will truncate your messages after about three sentences-anything longer they don't care about it. And they won't visit your galleries no matter how many times you write to them! It's no wonder they are having a hard time creating anything that is not derived from the classics or history, or some news story. I have no idea how Disney derived Stitch, except that it was not via worthless- no account- folk like me. Now if somebody in "Hollywood" were to come up with a Critter that looks way too much like my art, then I might be able to use a Lawsuit to get my 'Foot in the Door'-as it were. but, until that happens....."

Awwwww, they're so adorable! they look like a rainbow morhp Eyrie! Looks at comments. i don't think you're cursed. you were just born at the wrong time. that's what my mother says about me.*g*. have you tried to contact Neopets People? they might love these! i do! really!oh. *looks at last comment reply* I don't understand all that. it don't make any sense. maybe you can make you own company? dunno. i like your art. Eric R. Vondell ~ 'Tralfaz Aquilleon' replies: "Yes. They are, indeed, the cutest Gryphies I have ever drawn. I actually drew the prototype for this way back in 1987 while in an Art Class. (It was just a single one in Left profile depicting Midnight the Panther-Raven).I was really not to bad at drawing in the cartoon style, but, I was really trying to make realistic looking Gryphons and other imaginariy critters. I wanted them to be Real Creatures, so I rarely drew them in Cartoon style. Pity, really, because they would have made groovy "Poke'mon" charctaers! I don't know who Eyrie is, except he / she is a Neopet. I will search the web again today to find a picture of Eyrie to see what you mean. Part of me hopes it will have a Plushie just as with the Tairlanga-like Kougra. If I am caught in a time warp or psychic, then the plushie will be in either Purple (Lavender) or wearing Gypsy style clothes! I have seen a blue version in dreams as well and several little figures--(These inspired the original look of cartoon Panther-Ravens, & the colors on my Model of Midnight came from a Black and white colored dream toy gryphy, BTW)--I can find the main Nepets page, but, not being a member, I cannot access the various pages of characters. If Eyrie turns out to be as close to this as you say, then It scares me, because I might be caught up in a Time Loop! That would be about the best explanation for all the weirdness I have had over the last 27 years. It would most certainly explain the "Almost Psychic" atributes to many of my childhood's dreams that look like this current world. Spooky! *Shudders*...and I am certain that my Shrink will find it "Interesting"...*hehehehe*"

Oooooooh! These are truly Beautiful to look at and I love their expressions! I love those tails and the fluffy feathers on their breasts! The names are a lot of fun!The colors are so perfect how they match each other and compliment each other. I like the brick post they are sitting on too. Looks likie it has a fine green algae growing on it. We get that a lot here in spring.
