SciFi and Fantasy Art: MAYHEM & MADNESS !

This was done from another very old conceptual drawing, and is still a work in progress. It Depicts a Laul-Hahran unicorn 'Voraunalault'(Cerolaultis carnatus) appearently in a battle to the death with a variation of the Arlosian Aquilleon (Pantheraquilas arlosi). The Laul-Hahran Unicorn is the inspiration for the classical unicorn of Earth's mythos. (Time warped to earth's reality in ancient times where it almost got a Hoof-hold in earth's ecosystem....) Contrary to popular culture, the Unicorn is not a horse- not even related. Which is why it's true confirmation does not exactly match that of Equus equus/ E. Cabalus. It is a feathered mammal distantly related to tairlangas. (In other words, it's actually a kind of mammal-like dinosaur!) It is about human sized weighing about 85kg. (187 lbs) They are predatory and hunt in packs bringing down animals of equal or larger size. Alone, they hunt small game (Rabbit sized). The Keundahris often use them to help with the hunting and with tracking. They are virtually immune to attack from airborne predators.(That's what the horn and dorsal spines are for.There are also spines on the tail tip which can inflict serious wounds) On Earth they are popular, highly trainable, large pets. Fellow gryphofiles can relax. The gryph isn't in any real danger. Which is a good thing for them both, as they are equally well endowed. This scene depicts a young adult 'Wrenfro' playing rough with Shuhrahra (Shuhry). They both belong to Dr. Martha Brenton, and as one can guess, it's best for these monsters to play outdoors. Personally, I hope they're being supervised.......

This has the most dynamic action in your art...well, there's the Queen Dragon thing, but this is so vibrant and the creatures really do look like they're about to wipe each other out! Good thing they're really friends and all 'cause I think the gryphon would have met his match with this monster! I love the title too, it's perfect for this pic!

Though I love how the Uni looks like... favourite colour... this is a great picture! I love their poses, though the pose of the unicorn could be called very classical poor gryphons pose is absoluteley greatly done, because I think its really difficult to do.

I hope they really ARE only playing, because I think the Griffin is in some real trouble if it's a real fight! You have such an incredibly rich fantasy world. I can't draw anywhere near this good! And your creatures are not those traditional "Assembly line" mythicals, but totally new and fresh creatures. Even your Griffins and Unicorns are completely unique and new! I would love to see stuff like this in the movies. If your unicorn was facing off with the Red Bull of King Haggard, well, the Bull would be Hamburger! And I LOVE her colors and the spikes on her back! Oh, and her Tail! That's what i like about the Last Unicorn. She's made right for true unicorns, and your Unicorn is both right for unicorns and something totally new!
