SciFi and Fantasy Art: ~THEAVARO & FLUTTERSNAKE~

This is an older drawing. I think I posted it before, but, It's the best of the Theavaro redux project. Here he is snapping at an annoying Fluttersnake (A kind of semi-predatory alien butterfly+dragonfly sort of creature) that has swooped low over him awakening him from a pleasant dream. I am considering doing it over in color. So let me know what--if anything--needs to be improved before I make it over in color. The Razahnu project is going slowly, so I thought to post something that I already have that is fairly good art. I like this drawing most of the Theavaro Redux drawings. The wings are finally right in this drawing. Theavaro is an alien 'pterosaur' type creature. He is similar in evolution to The Cheshire Dragon, but, have only a single digit to support the wing. He does have a unique wing bone arrangement. He has an extra 'Wrist' section that allows for easier escapes from the surface of the water by giving the wing a sort odd staggered double wrist flick and greater curvature during take off. His wing sails are also covered in short very fine hair-like feathers. I like this new look for him; it gives him a certain charm lacking in the original drawings from high school.

Oooohhhh!!! Now this is REALLY great! He doesn't need to be done in colors at all, Poor little Flutter-snake critter though. *Sobs*, it's every bit as cuuutie-pie as is the dragon it's just awakened! I love the way you figure out how the wings and tails and bodies work in your animals. Most artists-even the spectacular photorealistic ones- don't seem to pour as much real science and internal archetecture into their fantasy animals as you do with yours! Tthat's not saying that I don't love their art as much, but, your art is special and your creatures feel so much more like something that really exists somewhere! The poem is really well made and works with the action of the drawing. You should maybe consider doing some greetings cards or the like?????

Oh, Yeah! Great picture! I can really imagine the rest of the action as the snake critter gets chomped on by the little dragon thing. Love the poem too!

Hehehe, this is great. It looks nice as it is,but a colour version would probly be pretty too.The poem adds a lot of depth to it.
