SciFi and Fantasy Art: Preacher

Okay, anyone who's ever been to Sunday School knows this is not what the Sunday School teachers look like. Those of you saying this is why you don't go, that's a lame excuse and ya know it.
I do think this is a good image of the Catholic church though. They are dressed in religious clothes and they have big books of rules and think themselves to be great, but under the outer appearances, they are harming innocent children and drinking the blood of their parishoners by betraying them and preaching beliefs that are founded on nothing but the political and monetary interests of the church.

I think jas is completely right except that sunday school is that bad and worse...Preists and such are horrible, they lead some good freinds of mine to, in their youth, beleive they were going to burn for eternity simply because they didnt completely beleive in the system.

I'm not religious, but I would never deny the positive influence that religions of all sorts can have on peoples' lives. I'm not going to say anything more about this."

Indeed, Jas' perspective on certain things is mildly entertaining. And just as more the scarier. An narrow-minded thought on a very wide subject. It's contradicting.

This...is an -awesome- picture. For some reason, I'm reminded of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" or something. ;P Mebbe "Tom and the Devil?" It may be somewhat satirical, but it looks like the old 1600's priest. Yanno...the kind they cried "witch!" at in Salem?

i agree with jas. most religeon is merely another form of control. if you don't do exactly as they say you will burn in this supposed hell or be stuck in limbo or go to hades whatever you beleive. Don't tell me ive never been to sunday school or had a religeon and wouldent know what it's like because i have and i do know what it's like. most promote conformity and mindless obidience. (like the picture though and no offence to anyone)

It's just an amusing little (though extremely well done) picture!!!
I go to church and everything and I'm not offended 'cos I have this little thing called AN OPEN MIND.
There are better things in life to argue about.
To the artist: I really like this picture it's very funny and well drawn.

I agree with E's comment well done and I love the splat look of the bottom of his robes..like he fell out of the sky maybe he's an alien*?*
