SciFi and Fantasy Art: A Midsummer Night's Dream

This is from the play Midsummer Night's Dream, sort of. There's no scene exactly like this in the play, but almost. I really like it and it's finally done. I had the idea in like June, started it over the summer and didn't just finish it until December. You can't really see it but the little dots in the background, Titania's eyes, and some other highlights are done in iridesacent gold. Watercolor and ink on Bristol Board. 2000

30 Mar 2002	Kendra "Joey-chan"	Loading... WOW!! I was Hermia in the local theatre's production of "Midsummer" a few weeks ago, and the scenes w/ Bottom (donkey dude) and Titania were my FAVES!! We set ours in the mid-1890s Burlesque period (kinda Moulin Rouge-ish but not as...bizarre) This is an excellent piece! Keep up the wonderful work!
