SciFi and Fantasy Art: Witchball

Just a quick little sketch. . . A few fairies peering curiously at a witchball. Witchballs, for the uninformed, were hung in windows during the eighteenth century to ward off spells ^^ I think I'll redraw the fairies. I like their clothes, though - weird, gravity defying hats and baggy pants. ^^ I really like how the ball turned out.

10 Mar 2002	Pigeon and Ruthless	Loading... Ruthless: this is v. cute! pastels r a great medium too Pigeon: Did you know that Ruthless has fairies that tell him to burn things? I really like this picture!! The colours are very fairy-like and you can see the light reflected in the Witchball.

28 Jul 2003	Anton Dommasnes	Loading... Hmm.. a thought just occured to me.. since witchballs are supposed to ward OFF spells and magic, and faeries are magical creatures......... like moths to a lamp? I hope they don't get burned by it....
