SciFi and Fantasy Art: Forest Deer-Centaur

This isn't exactly as exciting as I picture this creature - I picture it peeking through a forest, half-seen and gone in an instant, leaving you to wonder if you saw golden hair..? The whole point of the golden hair is actually because it's a juxtaposition on a forest creature. I guess it shouldn't be so well groomed. I wanted to convey a shy-forest-spirit sort of mood. This was colored as an afterthought, I'm afraid.

Yeah it kinda sorta does, but 1) it predates it, I think and 2) I like Miyazaki's deer-god thing A LOT more than this now that I saw it! Wow.

I love the antlers the most. Makes me want to have antlers too. 2 Well, first I'd pick wings. Then antlers. Then a tail. Maybe it's a good thing that modern science has its limitations. Great beautiful work you've done here!

The deer body looks good. However this Kentaur seem a bit..."front heavy"

Aw! Look at that face, she’s adorable! But she looks a tad bit off balance to me… Maybe if you had set the humanoid part back a little farther, and blended the chest to the deer anatomy sooner it would have looked a little more natural… But, what would I know! ‘Taurs are not my area of expertise. Keep up the good work! 2

AAUUGH what's it called?! it reminds me of the golden thingie woman that Hercules married on the tv show a long time ago.. what's it called, a "hind" or something.. their blood is supposed to be able to kill gods and on Xena they used hind's blood to kill one of the gods and blah blah blah, is that what it's called? hehe, well that's what this pic reminds me of.. so cool!

*scratches head for a moment* *puts on Princess Mononoke* I'm seeing a distinct lack of similarity. Well, I suppose they both have horns, and deer bits...
Hey, she looks just like that one off bambi...

Sorry, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit I know.
Anyhoo, very nice, wonderful mental gratification for my current deer-centaur addiction.
