SciFi and Fantasy Art: '99: Ignorance is Bliss... until

As of Oct. 30, 1999, this is the most ambitious image I've ever created!!!it took me 6 days from start to end, with at least an hour of work a day! Wondering why?? The Details!!!! If you want to see all the components I made for this pic, it's all somewhere around here. Sorry for the crappy jpg quality but it was the only way I could fit the *#@$ing thing into 100 kb's!! Description? Three of my characters. Rian is the surprised-looking guy with his reflection in the window. Edgis is the teary-eyed guy clutching the letter (and piloting the robotic warmachine), and Gaia is the confused girl in the foreground (Ruben doesn't suggest smoking, but that doesn't mean his characters can't do it. Noone should be a 'role-model' character design). Can you imagine the story here? Is Edgis really that Psychotic?? Will Ruben ever attempt such a pic again? Only time will tell. NO MAIN CHARACTERS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS PIC. IT WAS A CRAPPY RESTAURANT ANYWAY... SO MUCH FOR A FIRST DATE. .

30 Aug 2003	AcidPlagueBurb	Loading... Ok I must get this off my chest... looks at the reflection... Ok who besides me sees a major detail problem? takes a closer look... I see that in the reflexion there is a major problem. Her hand is on the menu in the reflexion but when you look at the menu itself it's not there... Ruben dude where did the hand go... looks around under the table for the hand... sees something else... Opps a little off topic... Anyways I thought I might bring that to light being that everything else is.... hmms some... Like TOTALLY AWSOME MAN!!!!!!! calms down... Ok Im better... pulls out 9mm and blows the mech away with a vital shot... opps sorry about that I hope it wasn't to expensive to build... puts a peice back on... hehe... whistles as I walk off with my hands in my pocket acting like I didn't do anything............ Ruben de Vela replies: "The menu is folded and has 2 pages, and the hand is there. "

12 Nov 2006	Marina Gardner	Loading... love the colors, and the guy's face BUT when doing a reflection at that angle, the girl's head would be facing away from her real face, so only the side or back of her head would be seen in the window. awsome expressions though
