Commission # 2 for Gauntlette

I think I crossed a threshold in this picture in terms of composition and storytelling.

Zel is a priest of Bast, seen here banishing some of Apophis' servants. The symbol floating in midair stands for the goddess Bast.
A theme should be starting to emerge for this set. :)

Production notes:
The character is portrayed close to the commissioner's description, but he gave me the freedom to put in giant demon snakes and topless catgirls (what kind of artist would I be if I didn't seize that chance?).
Remarkably for a picture of mine, the layouting and inking took way, way longer than the coloring.

The emotions revealed, especially on the catgirls are excellent, every detail is on its place. I particularly find his staff fascinating. It definitely is story telling, not only in regards of these characters, but about their word as well. The commissioner must be very pleased.
