SciFi and Fantasy Art: '05: Northern Lights

Iorek and Lyra approach Svalbard under a sky full of witches.
Inspired by Philip Pullman's novel 'The Golden Compass'
I used a lot of techniques learned from training at Toei, and apllyed them to my older style. Still figuring it out, but I think I learned a lot.

16 Feb 2006	Karen-Birgitte "Ellemerr" Borud	Loading... I so loves Pullman's world! You made a very nice pic out of it, I love the sky and Iorek is also very nice...(He's my knight in shining armour! So red and nice...! ^^) Oh, and about the books, I think they gave it different names in USA and England/UK... In Norwegian we got both the names too, and it really is very confusing. Oh, well. The book is good, anyway

It's exactly how I imagined the scene in the book, only I read the version 'Northern Lights', the Engligh version, more or less. You're an absaloute incomparable artist. Keep going!!!!
