SciFi and Fantasy Art: True Visage

This is a picture I did in oils on a canvas I had to stretch myself in my Senior year of High School. It's my 3rd oil painting and I spent a lot of time on it. The assignment was to create a self portrait without it being traditional; so I created a fantasy picture. The photo students in our class took pictures of us in the poses we wanted for research and we all went from there. This jpg is three different shots of the 16'x18' piece.

5 Jul 2002	Michael K. Cole	Loading... Very interesting! I find myself drawn to the pic on the upper-left. I think it is the contrast of colors combined with the angst of the figure that does it for me. This is a cool concept.

I'm going to have to with the upper right jsut becuase the girl appears to be an angel in anguish and the fact that it looks like some sort of light is shining from above and she seems to be lookin up and asking why or something along those lines Ruth A. Ducko replies: "Most people don't look that deeply into my stuff..Bravo."
