SciFi and Fantasy Art: American Super soldier

I admit it- this was not drawn because I have any specific opinions on America and it's wars- I'm not even American! It started out as me trying to draw Dom Monoghan. But it looked really wrong, so I cyborged him and viola! The super soldier was born! And the United Kingdom flag was hard to draw, so I went for America. Pencil sketch.

Awesome! He actually has quite a handsome face, yet it still shows age and experience, I love his clothing too. Great job! The flag has a real sense of movement. Ooooh cyborgs, I'm inspired. You've inspired me a lot today...Thank ya Ruth! ^.^

:-) Ruth. M. Jepson replies: "Glad you likey! I worked forever on the damned flag... Lol"

I end up messin something up so bad that it doesn't look like what it should, but I usually can't salvage them for some reason. Anyways, the american flag could use some work. I realize that it is not totally inside the picture's borders but the flag is structured as follows: there are 9 rows of stars. The first row has 6 stars the second has 5 and they alternate on down. There are 13 stripes the top 7 of which are coming from the side of the blue box. The stripes start and end in red. I have a tendancy to be very anal retentive about different nation's flags. I like the simple ones like france's, can't go wrong with 3 stripes hehe.

:-) Ruth. M. Jepson replies: "Be as anal as you like hon- I'm fine with constructive criticism like this. Couldn't find a decent pic of the flag when I looked and not being American didn't actually have a clue as to the structure except that there were a hell off a lot of stars! Thanks- I'll keep the flag structure in mind next time I use it!"
