So almost a year later and I finished Ryth's design by adding a scale/chain mail skirt to finish her armour so that she can actually sit down. Thought that might be a good plan. When I first drew Ryth it was my best pic to date, if you'd like to see how much my style has changed and grown feel free to compare them. I find the differnce phenominal over all. I still love Ryth, me' dragon-girl form. Didn't slack off on her wings this time either. I did forget to do the outline of her large scale plates gold. Ah well, just got carried away with the red.

Wow, you are right; your style has really evolved since the last version of this character. I especially like her outfit and hair. One bit of crit, though, her knees look kind of like they bend backwards. I don't know if that's intentional or not, and it could be fixed by about two seconds work with a pencil to add a little shading below the knee. I like the attitude she gives off. It's very "don't mess with me"-esque. Keep up the good work! *thumbs up*

2 Ruth E. Steinback replies: "Thank you, and I'll keep that in mind for the future versions!"

You know I never noticed that, it Does look a bit like her knees bend backwards, though if it wasn't pointed out I prolly would never have seen that, I did an art trade version of this, the pencil begining's sketch is up on my gallery, but I'm planing on starting over since my style has changed a bit for the better.

Well, I like her. But even if considering her a cartoonish character, don't you think, that her hands should be a bit smaller?

:-) Ruth E. Steinback replies: "Oh yes quite probably, I just always have had a hard time drawing hands. I'm getting much better but all to often when I got them to look okay they were out of proportion, heh."

This version really outdoes the first. She really does stand out in this one and looks like she very well could step off the page. You did mention she is half dragon so are her knees pointed in the opposite direction, or is it just how her boots fit?
