| 30 Apr 2002 | Renita | I am not the one to comment often on female pics like these, but i must say you really were able to catch the emotion you were going for in the drawing. i think it shows that we women are always on guard i like this fierce portrayal of a female. Keep up the good work Ryan W Hurst replies: "Thank you very much! I really tried hard to go for exactly what you mentioned. A guarded warrioress...I really like the word you chose, fierce, because that's exactly what I tried to express. Thank you for your kind words!" | |
| 18 Nov 2002 | Christian Spalthoff | Pose, shading, composition, all these are very cool here! There is one thing I'd change, however: The eyes could be a bit darker, they seem somewhat pale with all the deep shades in the picture. Is all of this done with one kid of pencil, or different ones? Ryan W Hurst replies: "Again, from you, man...I appreciate the good words and the constructive criticism. I would really have liked to take the time to do something like what you've done on your "wormwood stalker" piece. Background is what is often lacking in my work and is something that really brings out the work. I also agree with not only the eyes, but the face. Unfortunately, I'm a man of little free time, so sometimes I skimp on things and look back later (or in this case have it pointed out) that I've missed something! Thanks again!!!" | |
| 17 May 2003 | konflikti <konflikti@mbn...fi> | Soo... Her upper body seems too long and her waist is too narrow Imho... There is also a slight diffrence in legs her right being more muscular than her left... But again I admire your skills with pencils ^^ | |
