SciFi and Fantasy Art: I, Oni

Gryphon fans want wings, furries want fur coats and tails that will likely just get slammed in doors. Me, I want tentacles. I want to have a grip requiring 1,800 pounds of pressure to break and extra limbs so I don't have to keep sticking my pencil in my mouth. I also want to not have to have a roommate next year at the dorms, but that's probably wishful thinking. I was in a Mood when I penciled this, and coming back to a roomful of giggly friends of my roommate, none of whom I especially like, did not help it any.

Clockwise from the Kanji for ogre (Oni) is an untranslated Ilocano dirge (I've no clue what it says); the motto of my clan, the MacLeans; a little free-form verse; and a line in Spanish that seemed apropos. The kanji was chosen because the Oni is a monster that apparently represents otherness, alienness, and the human tendency to fear that which is not known.

I really like the way you've attached the tentacles to the body here,I'd have trouble with the placement ^_^ Me?Personally,I want an extra four limbs, the ability to climb up walls, and an endless supply of silk thread.Oh yeah....and a blue ferret (dont ask)......

I like the placement and the way you drew the tentacles. I'd prefer blue tentacles, but to each his or her own, right? I would so use them incorrectly though, for my own gain.

Oh man, room mates sure do stink. This is probably the last thing I'd want to run into. I crabby octowoman. What a great concept though. This is terrifically done.

Hey! I LOVE and absolutely ADORE this piece of artwork. It's shockingly creative, I don't think I've seen anything like it and having giggly room-mates must suck and to have such tentacles would be awesome. I love it and the name's really creative. I was inspired by this and thought up a story for a character with tentacles and was wondering if you wouldn't mind me writing it. This pictures awesome and all day at school today I wrote Oni on just about everything and drew pics of a girl like her on everything too. (Mind my pictures weren't as good as yours, actually they kinda sucked). All in all it's beautiful.

And just think, if you ever get trapped anywhere with no food, you're carrying your own sushi on your back...

Man, your art is SO cool! I love the concept of tentacles. I don't have a giggly roommate, but I do have a sister that doubles as one, and she's a bossy grouch, so yes, I can see why you'd want to be left alone. You get some of the coolest ideas; man, I wish I had your creativity!

If you grow tentacles like that, I will take you out to dinner.

Wonderful reasoning for wanting to have tentacles, I will consider getting myself a pair (or two) of them.

You have my sypathies when it comes to giggeling people, I dont like them myself, and I never giggle, I laugh. ant thats that.
