SciFi and Fantasy Art: Contempt

This was an old pic that i had here, but I fixed it up a bit. Now it doesn't look as horrible as it did before. There's still a few things that don't look right (for example, the eyes don't seem to match), but I wanted to put it up anyways. I'm still having trouble with the shading, I can't seem to decide on a light source, and can't see how the shadows would work from certain points. Can anyone offer some help with that?

Suggestions: The front section of hair on his right needs lightening as the source of light seems to be from that direction, then darken more to the back and on his right side. As to the eyes his right iris needs more colouring and the wight of his left eye needs to be whiter(shadow or not)
