SciFi and Fantasy Art: Psychedelic Luck Dragon

This is what happens when you watch The Neverending Story and Labyrinth within a day of each other and then sit down with a bunch of markers and decide to use them ALL. I had fun drawing this one! ^_^ It just makes me so mad to see it on the computer, though, because <begin evil technology rant> the scanner completely ate it! Though it looks all orange, in reality there's more shading, and the paws and ears blend into red, growing darker until it gets to the tip where I shaded in redish-purple. That's what that ugly splotch on the bottom of the paws is; it only scanned the purple and ignored all the red. Grrr. <end evil technology rant> Sorry, I just had to get that out. If I've said it once, I'll say it again; we oughta form a support group for artists thwarted by scanners. Fight the power!

1 Oct 2002	Sarah Catherine Eccles	Loading... Wow. Sits back slightly so she can take the whole thing in. That's amazing, I'm actually having difficulty getting my brain to process it. I love it! I know what you mean about scanners. Have you tried colouring pictures using paint shop or some other paint program? That's what I usually do these days. I have to admit though, those textas produce brilliant colours, and if the scan is that good the original must be amazing.
