SciFi and Fantasy Art: Red

Another anonymous person, known simply as Red. And I drew it all for... the hair! Wouldn't it be cool to have white hair and red bangs? Except at Christmas, then you'd probably be compared annoyingly to a candy cane. And because I was focusing on the hair, I don't recall now what's up with the psychedelic background, or why I stopped colouring along a wavery line I can't crop without cutting vital pieces of face. But I'm sure it has something to do with the 'message' of this picture. And believe me, when you're an english major, everything has a 'message'. What this picture says, however... is up to you!

10 Jun 2002	Paula	Loading... The thing I find most interesting about this picture is the eye... shades of grey all the way, ba-by! It just has a really nice glossy look to it, like hematite. Fab. Oh, and somehow, for no real reason, the wavery line works. Might have something to do with how it follows the curve of the folds in the cloak. Seems to suggest the curve of the wrist under the chin... this wasn't an excuse to not draw hands again, was it? I like how it (the line; heaven forbid I leave a dangling modifier) dissolves into scratchiness where it meets up with the background.
13 Nov 2002	Kiddy	Loading... Yeah me too Paula, love "the line" scratchy to nothingness thingy too... But Not the Hair (Sry sorry! I don't hate it though, but to me its just there... oh and if you had that hair and lived in Canada you might hate it on July 1st too) I must confess like the glassy sad eye and empty spacey look much more then the hair... oh + the nothingness line. Umm It kinda reminds me of something someone said on this hour has 22 minutes. "What do you do when something bad happens?" Except of course this picture isn't funny at all... Heart Broken, ODed and bad hair to boot... Ouch! Probably... the Brave New Waves music in the background I'm listening to isn't helping with the empty ODed feeling.
