SciFi and Fantasy Art: Harold's dragon tears.

poor harold.
harold is a sad, lonely, brokenhearted swamp dragon. he once lived out in the fields and forests under sunshine and blue skies, but he retreated into the swamp to start a new life. he became a very great swamp dragon, but now he misses the wind in his face. yet he's afraid to go back out because he's so swampy, he might not be accepted by everyone.
but don't worry, i'm working on marla. marla will show him that as long as he is happi, not everyone has to accept him. some dragons are just grumps.
and she's going to take him out for ice cream and marsh-mallows.
whether he likes it or not.

(a watercolor 'sketch')

to be continued...

Be careful with the marshmallows there, dragons have a very sensetive digestion system. He migth eat somethin inaproperiate, backfire and blow himself and we wouldn't want that would we? If anything Im sure Marla would be terribly upset.

:-) Sarah M. Zagacki replies: "o.O dang, you're right. i'd better make sure he doesn't eat too many..."

:-) Sarah M. Zagacki replies: "silly as i am sometimes, i do try to relate real life situations to my art once in a while... harold was an emotional vent for me, but then he got silly with the story, heh. thanks for the comment! 2"

That is one sad-looking dragon. The style is really cool - could be used on a book illustration easily.

(Snuggles up beside him and sighs) I know how he feels, but if we dont dtry he wont see what he is missing. Besides being a swamp dragon aint so bad, He can hang out with my swamp and river dragons if he wants. Dont be sad handsome, the world will still be here when u are ready.
