SciFi and Fantasy Art: Harlequin

This one's based on my sketch 'Unfinished Business' (which has been removed by now). I didn't want to ruin the drawing, so I spent a little while pondering how to colour it in and ended up developing a pretty crazy process involving pencils, a scanner, Paintshop, a printer, felt-tipped pens and coloured pencils. Although it's not perfect (it never seems to be), I'm pretty satisfied with the overall result and will probably try something like this again sooner or later. The only problem is that the colours and shading look a lot nicer in reality than they do in the scanned version, which I blame on mixing so many different media.
As far as the character in this drawing goes, I'm pretty sure that she's got some kind of personal score to settle. I went a little overboard with the extremely colourful look, the painted face and the Asian outfit, but hey; it's a fantasy gallery, no need to make the character look historically correct! Of course, a colourful outfit like that would draw lots of attention, but I think she's more than capable enough of handling that on her own. I imagine her to be a kind of mercenary in a sort of Asian-themed fantasy setting (as opposed to the common medieval settings) with a rather bad temper. Will beat up any evil wizard for the right price. ^^
