SciFi and Fantasy Art: Affliction of Inspiration

The current mental pain I'm feeling from drawing this picture illustrates the theme of it exactly-being chained to an inspiration that grows from the artist, that's not always pleasant, but still fed by the muse who encourages ever so gently to continue on even when you're so exhausted you could give up. I'm inspired in much of my work by medieval illustration and classical pre-raphealite themes such as medieval satire, which this piece draws its inspiration from.

I believe and am inspired by the beauty of the mythological, those old spirits that have beckoned mankind throughout the ages to scribe and to paint.

27 Jul 2006	Elftowner	Loading... Its amazing how some pieces speack to the heart. As a writer i know the chains of inspiration well. Sometimes though the hardest part is putting your thoughts on paper. Sometimes you just have to let your thoughts flow onto the paper. Amazing art though.
